DTN Early Word Grains 10/11 05:37 U.S Crop Prices Quietly Mixed Ahead of Inflation Reports, USDA on Thursday December corn was up 2 cents, November soybeans were up 1 cent and December KC wheat was down 1 cent. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was up 2 cents, November soybeans were up 1 cent and December KC wheat was down 1 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Wednesday, Dow Jones futures are trading a little higher against a quiet backdrop in Europe. The world's attention continues to be on Israel where Israeli troops are preparing for a ground invasion into Gaza and traders watch to see if the fighting results in a broader regional conflict. The U.S. Labor Department releases the producer price index for September at 7:30 a.m. CDT Wednesday, expected by Dow Jones to be up 0.3%. Minutes from the Federal Reserve's meeting in September are released at 2 p.m. Both will have clues of future interest rates, currently leaning higher. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 134.65 at 33,739.30 and the S&P 500 Index up 22.58 at 4,358.24. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.66%. Early Wednesday, December Dow Jones futures are up 57 points. European markets are quietly mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.01%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.08% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.59%. Asian markets are a little higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.60% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.12%.
