DTN Early Word Grains 10/24 05:46 Grain Markets Lower Again Tuesday on Harvest Progress, Poor Technical Price Action December corn is down 2 3/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 1 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is down 8 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 5 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 2 3/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 2 3/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 1 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is down 8 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 5 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 2 3/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Tuesday morning after Monday saw the 10-year note trade above 5.0%, only to reverse lower to close at 4.84%. This reversal helped the NASDAQ recover to close higher on the day and the S&P 500 clawed back most of its early losses. U.S. markets are higher Tuesday morning as the 10-year note remains under some pressure. Many overseas markets have reversed higher Tuesday morning, as several economic indicators were released showing a significant slowing of economies in the UK, Australia, South Korea, and Japan. This suggests that higher interest rates are doing their job and that further rate hikes are less likely. Tuesday morning, we will see a release of data from S&P with the flash services PMI and the flash manufacturing PMI. Both are expected to be under 50, indicating contraction in those areas. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 190.87 at 32,936.41 and the S&P 500 down 7.12 at 4,217.04, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.84%. Early Tuesday, the December Dow Jones Futures are up 111 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.11%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.32% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.65%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.2% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.78%.
