Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was steady, January soybeans were down 3 cents and December KC wheat was down 5 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, Dow Jones futures are trading higher with many expecting the Federal Reserve to keep the federal funds target unchanged. The Federal Reserve will begin a two-day meeting and announce its decision on Wednesday. At 7:30 a.m. CDT Tuesday, the U.S. Labor Department will release its employment cost index for the third quarter and be followed by a report of U.S. consumer confidence at 9 a.m. Tuesday's earnings reports include Caterpillar and Pfizer. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 511.37 at 32,928.96 and the S&P 500 Index up 49.45 at 4,166.82. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.88%. Early Tuesday, December Dow Jones futures are up 130 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.24%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.68% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.71%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.53% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.09%.
