DTN Early Word Grains 11/02 05:33 Soybeans Off to Higher Start Early Thursday, Export Sales Ahead December corn was up 1 1/2 cents, January soybeans were up 10 cents and December KC wheat was up 3 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was up 1 1/2 cents, January soybeans were up 10 cents and December KC wheat was up 3 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, Dow Jones futures are trading higher, supported by a combination of Wednesday's Fed decision to keep interest rates unchanged and by mostly positive earnings reports with many more due Thursday. USDA's weekly export sales report is due out at 7:30 a.m., the same time as U.S. weekly jobless claims, a report on third-quarter U.S. productivity and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. U.S. factory orders for September will be out at 9 a.m., followed by the U.S. Energy Department's weekly report of natural gas storage at 9:30 a.m. Yahoo Finance lists over 1,000 earnings reports out Thursday, one of the busier reporting days of the year and include Apple. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 221.71 at 33,274.58 and the S&P 500 Index up 44.06 at 4,237.86. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.79%. Early Thursday, December Dow Jones futures are up 94 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 1.21%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 1.34% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.52%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.10% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.45%.
