DTN Early Word Grains 11/22 05:40 Grain Markets Mixed; Wheat Higher on Russia-Ukraine Hostilities, Corn and Soybeans Lower on Brazilian Rainfall December corn is down 1 1/4 cents per bushel, January soybeans are down 13 cents, March KC wheat is up 3 1/2 cents, March Chicago wheat is up 4 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is up 1 1/2 cents. By Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 1 1/4 cents per bushel, January soybeans are down 13 cents, March KC wheat is up 3 1/2 cents, March Chicago wheat is up 4 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is up 1 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Equity markets are mixed as the U.S. market broke its small winning streak Tuesday. Existing home sales were a little lower than trade expectations, but unlike previous worse-than-expected data, it didn't trigger an equity rally. The minutes from the Federal Reserve were also released Tuesday and there was no indication of any timeline for rate cuts. This was the likely reason for the lower close. U.S. futures are a little higher Wednesday morning, but trade feels quiet ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Wednesday's reports include initial jobless claims, durable goods, and consumer sentiment. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous close Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 62.75 at 35,088.29 and the S&P 500 down 9.19 at 4,538.19, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.42%. Early Wednesday, the December Dow Jones Futures are up 21 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.02%, spot futures of Germany's DAX are trading up 0.39% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.5%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.29% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.79%.
