DTN Early Word Grains 11/24 05:44 Grain Markets Open at 8:30 a.m. CST; Calls Point to Slightly Lower Open EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: Markets open at 8:30 a.m. Friday. By Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: Markets open at 8:30 a.m. Friday. CME GLOBEX RECAP: U.S. equity markets are pointed slightly higher for Friday morning's open and abbreviated trading session. World stock markets are mixed. The U.S. dollar is a little lower Friday morning and remains slightly lower for the week as U.S. interest rates continue to hover under 4.5% on the 10-year note. Energy prices are lower as a ceasefire has taken hold in Gaza and the previously scheduled OPEC+ meeting for this weekend was postponed. Most of the U.S. economic data released this week has pointed to a slowing economy, except for initial jobless claims which were lower than expected Wednesday and consumer sentiment which ticked up slightly, likely due to lower gasoline prices. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous close on Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 184.74 at 35,273.03 and the S&P 500 up 18.43 at 4,556.62, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.42%. Early Friday, the December Dow Jones Futures are up 86 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.3%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.11% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.21%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.52% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.68%.
