DTN Early Word Grains 12/14 05:35 Corn, Wheat Prices a Little Higher Early Wednesday March corn was up 2 cents, January soybeans were down 1 cents and March KC wheat was up 3 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn was up 2 cents, January soybeans were down 1 cents and March KC wheat was up 3 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, Dow Jones futures are trading higher, extending Wednesday's 521-point gain one day after the Federal Reserve kept the upper limit of the federal funds rate unchanged at 5.50% and said it expects lower inflation and lower interest rates in 2024. USDA's weekly export sales report will be out at 7:30 a.m. CST Thursday, the same time as reports on weekly U.S. jobless claims, U.S. retail sales in November and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. The Energy Department's report on natural gas storage follows at 10 a.m. USDA's Livestock, Dairy and Poultry outlook is set for 2 p.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 512.30 at 37,090.24 and the S&P 500 Index up 63.39 at 4,707.09. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.03%, the lowest in four months. Early Thursday, December Dow Jones futures are up 100 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 1.87%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.72% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.07%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.73% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.33%.
