DTN Closing Grain Comments 12/22 13:52 Last Trading Day Before Christmas Ends Quietly Higher; Texas Rail Border Crossings Reopen Other than a 0.31-cent loss in March soybean oil and a 3 3/4-cent loss in March KC wheat, the rest of the grain and oilseed sector ended quietly higher on the final day of trading before the three-day Christmas weekend. In related news, the U.S. Dollar Index was trading at its lowest level in four months after the Federal Reserve's favorite inflation indicator came in less-than-expected for November. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 1/2 cent and July corn was up 1/2 cent. March soybeans closed up 4 1/2 cents and July soybeans were up 3 cents. March KC wheat closed down 3 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 3 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was unchanged.
