DTN Early Word Grains 12/29 05:45 Crop Prices Quietly Mixed at Start of Final Trading Session in 2023 March corn was down 1 cent, March soybeans were down 1 cent and March KC wheat was up 2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Friday's GLOBEX CLOSES: March corn was down 1 cent, March soybeans were down 1 cent and March KC wheat was up 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Friday, Dow Jones futures are trading a little higher, in line with European stocks and on track to finish the year at a new record high in 2023. USDA's weekly export sales report will be out at 7:30 a.m. CST, the only significant report on the final trading day of 2023. U.S. grain and livestock futures have normal trading hours Friday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 53.58 at 37,710.10 and the S&P 500 Index up 1.77 at 4,783.35. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.85%. Early Friday, March Dow Jones futures are up 23 points. European markets are a little higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.21%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.21% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.25%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.22% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.68%.
