DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/02 13:45 : 2024 Starts With Bearish Closes in Grains, Oilseeds March corn closed down 7 1/2 cents at a new contract low and March soybeans fell 24 1/2 cents to a new six-month low, pressured by beneficial rains in central Brazil over the weekend with more expected this week. All three U.S. wheats were also lower with beneficial precipitation expected across U.S. winter wheat areas the next two weeks. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 7 1/2 cents and July corn was down 6 1/4 cents. March soybeans closed down 24 1/2 cents and July soybeans were down 26 1/2 cents. March KC wheat closed down 13 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 21 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 8 1/2 cents.
