CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly lower after a rough start to the new year during the first week of January. Friday's jobs report was stronger than trade expectations, and this kept interest rates moving higher with the 10-year note closing the week back above 4%. This strength has spilled over to the U.S. dollar, which has helped to press on U.S. commodity prices, along with the spike in world shipping prices. Markets are also reacting to a large drop in Boeing shares due to this weekend's door failure in a 737-max aircraft, as well as to lower oil prices that are due to Saudi Arbia's reduction in their selling price of their oil.
