DTN Early Word Grains 01/09 05:41 Grain Markets Higher Tuesday Morning, Rebounding From Oversold Levels March corn is up 3/4 cent per bushel, March soybeans are up 3 1/2 cents, March KC wheat is up 6 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is up 4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is up 4 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst Friday's GLOBEX CLOSES: March corn is up 3/4 cent per bushel, March soybeans are up 3 1/2 cents, March KC wheat is up 6 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is up 4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is up 4 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Tuesday morning. On Monday, U.S. markets rebounded to start the week as the 10-year note fell slightly and at least some optimism seemed to return to equity traders. Inflation data will be released later this week, and some traders are expecting those numbers to continue to show inflation declining toward the 2% target of the Fed. However, U.S. futures are trading lower Tuesday morning once again and 4th quarter corporate earnings are going to start to trickle in, with some traders concerned that our higher interest rates may have a negative impact on those earnings. Tuesday, we will get data on the U.S. trade deficit as well as some monthly ag export data. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 216.90 at 37,683.01 and the S&P 500 up 66.30 at 4,763.54, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.0%. Early Tuesday, the March Dow Jones Futures are down 138 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.1%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.21% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.28%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 1.16% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.2%.
