DTN Early Word Grains 01/10 05:46 Grain Markets Lower Wednesday Morning on Renewed Shipping Worries Amid Attacks in the Red Sea March corn is down 1 3/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 6 cents, March KC wheat is down 4 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 3 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 3/4 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst Friday's GLOBEX CLOSES: March corn is down 1 3/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 6 cents, March KC wheat is down 4 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 3 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 3/4 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets mixed Wednesday. The U.S. market is lower overnight after a mixed session Tuesday that saw the Dow under some pressure but the Nasdaq closing slightly higher. The 10-year note yield did move higher earlier in the day but relaxed late in the session which helped tech stocks recover. Tuesday's release of the U.S. trade deficit shows the number at $63.2 billion, slightly better than trade expectations. Wednesday we will see wholesale inventories. The big reports this week are the CPI report Thursday and the PPI report that will be released on Friday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 157.85 at 37,525.16 and the S&P 500 down 7.04 at 4,756.50, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.02%. Early Wednesday, the March Dow Jones Futures are down 36 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.3%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.12% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.05%. Asian markets are also mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 2.01% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.54%.
