DTN Early Word Grains 01/18 05:57 Grain Markets Mostly Higher, Bouncing From Oversold Conditions March corn is up 2 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 8 cents, March KC wheat is up 1 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 1/2 cent and March Minneapolis wheat is up 6 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is up 2 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 8 cents, March KC wheat is up 1 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 1/2 cent and March Minneapolis wheat is up 6 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Thursday morning with the U.S. Market currently moving higher. Higher interest rates gave most markets a lower close Wednesday. U.S. retail sales were stronger than anticipated, and that continues to drive a narrative that the U.S. Federal Reserve might be slower to drop rates than traders have priced into the market. Thursday, we get jobless claims and housing starts and both will be watched closely. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 94.45 at 37,266.67 and the S&P 500 down 26.77 at 4,739.21, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.11%. Early Thursday, the March Dow Jones Futures are up 48 points. European markets are mixed/higher/lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.16%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.62% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.74%. Asian markets are mixed/higher/lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.03% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.43%.
