DTN Early Word Grains 01/30 05:52 Grain Markets Lower Tuesday as Corn Retests Contract Lows, Soybeans Break Through Support March corn is down 3 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 1 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 5 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 7 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 3 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 1 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 5 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 7 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly higher Tuesday morning after the U.S. markets surged once again Monday. Both the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average made new lifetime highs at Monday's close. The Federal Reserve is going to meet Tuesday and Wednesday, and traders are anticipating a signal in Wednesday's press conference that a rate cut in March is on the table. There were no major economic reports Monday but Tuesday we will see the Case-Schiller Home Price Index in addition to Job Openings and Consumer Confidence. There are no major ag reports that will be released Tuesday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 224.02 at 38,333.45 and the S&P 500 up 36.96 at 4,927.93, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.09%. Early Tuesday, the March Dow Jones Futures are down 57 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.47%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.17% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.44%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.11% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 1.83%.
