DTN Early Word Grains 02/07 05:47 Grain Markets Mostly Lower with March Corn Making a New Contract Low March corn is down 4 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 13 cents, March KC wheat is down 1 cent, March Chicago wheat is down 2 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 3/4 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 4 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 13 cents, March KC wheat is down 1 cent, March Chicago wheat is down 2 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 3/4 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Wednesday morning after choppy U.S. trade Tuesday in which the market recovered to post modest gains. There was no new economic data Tuesday, but a number of Federal Reserve members are speaking, and the market is trying to parse their different opinions that are being expressed. Chinese markets continue to rally and are now up over 5% in two sessions. The only major data points Wednesday morning are the U.S. trade deficit and the Consumer Credit report. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 141.24 at 38,521.36 and the S&P 500 up 11.42 at 4,954.23, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.09%. Early Wednesday, the March Dow Jones Futures are down 29 points. European markets are mixed/higher/lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.57%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.41% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.2%. Asian markets are mixed/higher/lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.11% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 1.44%.
