DTN Early Word Grains 02/12 05:52 Grain Markets Mixed With Corn, Soybeans Higher in Small Technical Bounce March corn is up 1 1/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 4 1/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 5 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is up 1 1/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 4 1/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 5 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Monday morning to start a new week. Friday, we saw the S&P 500 close above 5,000 points for the first time, and S&P futures are slightly higher Monday. The 10-year note at 4.18% reflects the Fed continuing to suggest that there will not be a rate cut in March. Last week's data was mostly neutral to expectations. This week, we will get several important reports including the new CPI data on Tuesday, Jobless Claims and Retail Sales on Thursday, and the PPI data along with Housing starts on Friday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 54.64 at 38,671.69 and the S&P 500 up 28.70 at 5,026.61, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.19%. Early Monday, the March Dow Jones Futures are down 36 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.09%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.46% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.47%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.09% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 1.28%.
