DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/14 13:52 Corn, Hard Wheat Markets Plunge to New Contract Lows; Spot Soybeans Lowest in 8 Months With traders expecting a bearish USDA Outlook Forum on Thursday, and with weather still mostly favorable in South America, markets fell hard on Wednesday, resulting in new contract lows for corn and Kansas City and Minneapolis wheat markets. Spot soybean futures also plunged to the lowest level since June 1. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 6 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans finished down 15 3/4 cents per bushel. March KC wheat settled down 6 3/4 cents per bushel, March Chicago wheat was down 12 cents per bushel and March Minneapolis wheat closed down 9 1/4 cents.
