DTN Early Word Grains 02/15 05:47 Grain Markets Lower Ahead of USDA Outlook Forum Data March corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 1 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 6 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 6 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 1 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 6 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 6 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are higher again Thursday morning, responding to a Federal Reserve member Wednesday insisting that inflation is moving toward its 2% objective. This is of course true, even though Tuesday's CPI data seemed to be a small bump in the road in achieving that objective. Equity prices bounced significantly Wednesday and combined with the overnight strength to wipe out most of Tuesday's losses. Thursday, we will get the weekly jobless claims data, Import Prices, Retail Sales, Industrial Production, and Home Builder Confidence. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 151.52 at 38,424.27 and the S&P 500 up 47.45 at 5,000.62, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.27%. Early Thursday, the March Dow Jones Futures are up 42 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.24%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.64% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.7%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 1.21% while China's Shanghai Composite Index was closed for holiday.
