DTN Early Word Grains 02/22 05:52 Grain Markets Slightly Higher Thursday Morning After Corn Makes New Contract Lows March corn is up 1/4 cent per bushel, March soybeans are up 2 1/2 cents, May KC wheat is up 4 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 3 3/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 5 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is up 1/4 cent per bushel, March soybeans are up 2 1/2 cents, May KC wheat is up 4 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 3 3/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 5 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are higher after Wednesday's recovery and higher U.S. close. After the close Wednesday, Nvidia reported that their sales had more than tripled, and those results are supporting equities Thursday morning. Futures prices are just underneath lifetime highs once again. Wednesday, the minutes of the last Federal Reserve meeting were released, and those minutes indicated that the Fed is more worried about cutting rates too quickly than they are about keeping rates high for too long. Thursday, we will have the release of the weekly initial jobless claims, existing home sales, and flash PMI's in both services and manufacturing from S&P. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 48.44 at 38,612.24 and the S&P 500 up 6.29 at 4,981.80, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.33%. Early Thursday, the March Dow Jones Futures are up 152 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.43%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 1.33% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.8%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 2.19% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 1.27%.
