DTN Early Word Grains 03/22 05:51 Grain Markets Lower Friday Morning on Grower Selling, End of the Week Profit Taking May corn is down 2 1/2 cents per bushel, May soybeans are down 12 3/4 cents, May KC wheat is down 4 1/2 cents, May Chicago wheat is down 3 1/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 1 3/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is down 2 1/2 cents per bushel, May soybeans are down 12 3/4 cents, May KC wheat is down 4 1/2 cents, May Chicago wheat is down 3 1/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 1 3/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly higher Friday morning after U.S. markets made new record highs again on Thursday. Thursday's economic data was mixed but mostly positive, with Home Sales, Leading Economic Indicators, and the Philly Fed Manufacturing survey all stronger than expected. Initial jobless claims ticked lower while the Flash PMI's were stronger in manufacturing but softer in services. There is no new data that will be released Friday, but various Federal Reserve members will be speaking Friday. Next week's highlights will include Durable Goods and Consumer Confidence on Tuesday, a revision to first quarter GDP on Thursday, and the very important PCE numbers on Friday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 269.24 at 39,781.37 and the S&P 500 up 16.91 at 5,241.53, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.27%. Early Friday, the June Dow Jones Futures are up 44 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.92%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.11% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.07%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.18% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.95%.
