DTN Early Word Grains 03/25 05:46 Grain Markets Mixed Monday Morning, With Wheat Markets Strongest May corn is down 3/4 cent per bushel, May soybeans are up 3/4 cent, May KC wheat is up 1 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 5 1/2 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 3 3/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is down 3/4 cent per bushel, May soybeans are up 3/4 cent, May KC wheat is up 1 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 5 1/2 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 3 3/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are lower Monday morning after a lower close in the U.S. on Friday, where markets retreated from lifetime highs. The 10-year note closed the week at 4.2% and has trended a little lower over the past week due mostly to dovish comments by Federal Reserve chairman Powell last week. Traders will continue to look for clues as to when the 1st rate cut will take place. In economic news this week, we will get New Home Sales on Monday, Durable Goods and Consumer Confidence on Tuesday, Jobless Claims, and a 1st quarter GDP revision on Thursday, and the new PCE report on Friday. Friday is a holiday for the Agricultural markets, closing for Good Friday. In agriculture, we will get cold storage on Monday afternoon, Grain Stocks and Acreage at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, and the Hogs and Pigs report at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 305.47 at 39,475.90 and the S&P 500 down 7.35 at 5,234.18, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.22%. Early Monday, the June Dow Jones Futures are down 84 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.42%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.17% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.55%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 1.16% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.71%.
