DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/01 14:00 Corn, Wheat Prices Sag at Start of April; U.S. Dollar Rises May corn closed down 6 1/2 cents Monday, likely related to concerns about news that a person in Texas was infected with bird flu, along with doubts about Thursday's USDA estimates. May contracts of all three U.S. wheats were also lower, pressured by higher trading in the U.S. Dollar Index after the U.S. economy received good news Monday. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: May corn closed down 6 1/2 cents and December corn was down 3 cents. May soybeans closed down 5 3/4 cents and November soybeans were down 3 3/4 cents. May KC wheat closed down 9 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat was down 3 1/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat was down 10 1/4 cents.
