DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/10 13:48 Soybean Prices Lower Ahead of Thursday's USDA Report; U.S. Dollar Rises on Inflation Data May soybeans fell 9 3/4 cents to their lowest close in a month, pressured by concerns about what USDA might say in Thursday's WASDE report. Corn and wheat prices were quietly mixed, except for a 17 1/4-cent gain in May KC wheat. Outside markets exerted a mostly bearish influence on commodity prices after the Labor Department reported a 3.5% annual gain in consumer prices in March, an obstacle to hopes for lower rates in 2024. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: May corn closed up 3 cents and December corn was up 2 cents. May soybeans closed down 9 3/4 cents and November soybeans were down 9 cents. May KC wheat closed up 17 1/4 cents, May Chicago wheat was up 3/4 cent and May Minneapolis wheat was up 1/2 cent.
