DTN Early Word Grains 04/15 05:50 Grain Markets Lower, Responding to Outside Markets May corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, May soybeans are down 3 cents, May KC wheat is down 3 cents, May Chicago wheat is down 6 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, May soybeans are down 3 cents, May KC wheat is down 3 cents, May Chicago wheat is down 6 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed but mostly rebounding after a poor session on Friday where worries about the conflict in the Middle East and higher interest rates weighed on markets. The success that Israel had in repelling the Iranian attack has traders believing that the odds of an escalation are smaller. Highlights for new economic data this week include Retail Sales and Business Inventories Monday, Housing Starts and Industrial Production on Tuesday, and Jobless claims and Existing Home Sales on Thursday. In agriculture, we will get a cattle on feed report on Friday in addition to the normal weekly reports. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 475.84 at 37,983.24 and the S&P 500 down 75.65 at 5,123.41, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.50%. Early Monday, the June Dow Jones Futures are up 88 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.46%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 1.01% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.72%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.74% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 1.26%.
