DTN Early Word Grains 05/15 05:49 Grain Markets Higher Wednesday Morning as New Forecasts Suggest Continued Slow Planting Progress in Many Areas July corn is up 1 3/4 cents per bushel, July soybeans are up 5 1/2 cents, July KC wheat is up 4 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is up 4 1/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is up 6 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is up 1 3/4 cents per bushel, July soybeans are up 5 1/2 cents, July KC wheat is up 4 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is up 4 1/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is up 6 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed morning, with the U.S. markets quietly higher once again. On Tuesday, markets broke initially on the PPI data which was definitely "hotter" than traders were anticipating. However, the market recovered and ultimately closed the day a little higher. Wednesday traders will get to see the CPI data, which is expected to be unchanged to up slightly from the April numbers. The price action seems to indicate that the higher-than-expected inflation numbers are priced into the marketplace. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 126.60 at 39,558.11 and the S&P 500 up 25.26 at 5,246.68, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.69%. Early Wednesday, the June Dow Jones Futures are up 15 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.17%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.38% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.16%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.08% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.82%.
