DTN Early Word Grains 05/29 08:01 Grain Markets Mixed; Early Overnight Weakness Driven by USDA Progress Data July corn is up 1/4 cent per bushel, July soybeans are down 1 3/4 cents, July KC wheat is down 3 cents, July Chicago wheat is up 1/4 cent and July Minneapolis wheat is up 1 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is up 1/4 cent per bushel, July soybeans are down 1 3/4 cents, July KC wheat is down 3 cents, July Chicago wheat is up 1/4 cent and July Minneapolis wheat is up 1 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly lower despite the NASDAQ closing into new record territory on strength from Nvidia whose shares were sharply higher on Tuesday. The Dow and the S&P are lower Wednesday morning, reacting to higher interest rates with the 10-year pushing back above 4.5%. The "higher for longer" sentiment continues. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 216.73 at 38,852.86 and the S&P 500 up 1.32 at 5,306.04, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.54%. Early Wednesday, the June Dow Jones Futures are down 230 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.36%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.65% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.79%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.77% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.05%.
