DTN Early Word Grains 05/30 05:55 Grain Markets Lower, With Wheat Prices Continuing to Correct Recent Gains July corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, July soybeans are down 1 1/4 cents, July KC wheat is down 12 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is down 12 1/2 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is down 6 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, July soybeans are down 1 1/4 cents, July KC wheat is down 12 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is down 12 1/2 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is down 6 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed, with U.S. markets under pressure after a poor session on Wednesday. We have seen a surge in interest rates over the course of the past two weeks with the 10-year note moving from 4.31% to 4.62%. These higher interest rates have put fears in the mind of traders that corporate earnings may still slow due to the "higher for longer" interest rate policy from the Fed. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 411.32 at 38,441.54 and the S&P 500 down 39.09 at 5,266.95, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.624%. Early Thursday, the June Dow Jones Futures are down 338 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.26%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.05% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.21%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 1.3% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.62%.
