DTN Early Word Grains 06/04 05:47 Grains Lower on Crop Conditions and Progress July corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, July soybeans are down 1/2 cent, July KC wheat is down 6 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is down 2 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is down 5 1/2 cents. s Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, July soybeans are down 1/2 cent, July KC wheat is down 6 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is down 2 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is down 5 1/2 cents. s CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly lower as Monday's economic data was a little disappointing. The ISM manufacturing index fell to 48.7, down from 49.2 last month and well below the trade estimate at 49.6. This indicates further contraction in the U.S. manufacturing sector. Stock prices fell abnormally early in Monday's session as a technical issue showed some shares including Berkshire Hathaway and Barrick Gold down over 99%. The New York Stock Exchange fixed the issue and stocks recovered. The broader S&P 500 did manage to rebound to close a little higher on the day, but all the U.S. markets are lower again Tuesday morning. Economic data to be released Tuesday include U.S. factory orders and job openings. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 115.29 at 38,571.03 and the S&P 500 up 5.89 at 5,283.40, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.40%. Early Tuesday, the June Dow Jones Futures are down 177 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.57%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 1.15% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.81%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.22% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.41%.
