DTN Early Word Grains 06/07 05:51 Grains Markets Lower With Wheat Futures Leading the Downside July corn is down 1 3/4 cents per bushel, July soybeans are down 7 3/4 cents, July KC wheat is down 13 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is down 11 1/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is down 6 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is down 1 3/4 cents per bushel, July soybeans are down 7 3/4 cents, July KC wheat is down 13 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is down 11 1/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is down 6 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed but mostly lower in quiet trade ahead of the U.S. jobs report that will be released Friday morning. Interest rates have fallen to the lowest levels since early April, as several economic data points have come in a little weaker than anticipated. On Thursday, the European Central Bank did lower interest rates a 0.25 point but said that futures direction was uncertain and will be data driven. Thursday's initial jobless claims were 229,000, higher than trade expectations. U.S. 1st quarter productivity was up 0.2%, which was better than trade expectations for a 0% increase. The U.S. trade deficit was 74.6 billion dollars, 2 billion less than expectations. The expectation for the jobs report Friday is for 190,000 new jobs with the unemployment rate steady at 3.9%. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 78.84 at 38,886.17 and the S&P 500 down 1.07 at 5,352.96, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.28%. Early Friday, the June Dow Jones Futures are down 7 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.58%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.81% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.74%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.05% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.08%.
