Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is up 2 3/4 cents per bushel, July soybeans are up 3 3/4 cents, July KC wheat is down 2 cents, July Chicago wheat is down 5 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is steady. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets mostly higher Tuesday morning as Monday's U.S. trade closed firm with both the Dow and the NASDAQ closing at new lifetime highs. Traders remain encouraged by generally "ok" corporate earnings, and a sense that all in all, the Fed may have pulled off a "soft landing" despite the "higher for longer" attitude currently held by the Fed. Monday's Empire State manufacturing survey showed the index down 6.0 points, better than last month's -15.6 points and better than trade estimates. A negative number that is "better than expected" is the kind of number that could help get the Fed to make the move to lower interest rates sooner. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 188.94 at 38,778.10 and the S&P 500 up 41.63 at 5,473.23, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.28%.
