DTN Early Word Grains 06/24 05:52 Grain Markets Mixed; Soybeans Once Again Finding Some Support July corn is down 1/2 cent per bushel, July soybeans are up 7 1/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 1 cent, September Chicago wheat is up 1 cent and September Minneapolis wheat is up 1 3/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is down 1/2 cent per bushel, July soybeans are up 7 1/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 1 cent, September Chicago wheat is up 1 cent and September Minneapolis wheat is up 1 3/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly higher to begin the week, after Friday's close that saw weekly gains in all the major equity markets, and new highs in the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ. Interest rates in the U.S. were quiet and mostly steady after the prior week's large decline, and those lower rates have helped push equities higher. Traders will be looking ahead to the PCE report which will be released on Friday. There are several reports out this week. Tuesday we will get the Case Schiller Home Price Index, and consumer confidence. Wednesday is new home sales. Thursday we will see initial jobless claims, a second revision of 1st quarter GDP, durable goods, and pending home sales. Finally on Friday, we will get personal income and spending, and the PCE data that is the Fed's favorite inflation indicator. In agriculture, we will get a delayed CFTC report Monday afternoon along with another report on Friday. Inspections are Monday, ethanol production is Wednesday, and Export Sales are Thursday. Most importantly, we will get the June 1 grain stocks report and the acreage report on Friday morning at 11 a.m. CDT. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 15.57 at 39,150.33 and the S&P 500 down 8.55 at 5,464.62, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.26%. Early Monday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 95 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.36%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.43% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.67%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.54% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 1.17%.
