DTN Early Word Grains 06/28 05:54 Grain Markets Higher Friday; Corn Trying to Bounce From New Contract Lows September corn is up 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 7 1/2 cents, September KC wheat is up 2 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 5 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 4 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: September corn is up 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 7 1/2 cents, September KC wheat is up 2 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 5 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 4 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed after a very quiet session Thursday. Traders are awaiting Friday morning's PCE numbers as they are the favored numbers that the Fed uses to measure inflation. A weaker number that confirms the weaker CPI numbers from earlier this month would help traders conclude that rate cuts could still begin this year. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous close Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 36.26 at 39,164.06 and the S&P 500 up 4.97 at 5,482.87, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.29%. Early Friday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 36 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.47%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.62% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.41%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.61% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.73%.
