DTN Early Word Grains 07/10 05:45 Grain Markets Slightly Lower on Recent ECB Rainfall December corn is down 2 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 2 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 5 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 1 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 2 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 2 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 5 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 1 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed with European markets a little lower and Asian markets higher. U.S. markets remain quiet once again ahead of the CPI numbers that will be released on Thursday and the PPI numbers that come out on Friday. Fed Chairman Powell spoke Tuesday to the Senate and will be before the House Wednesday. His comments were generally suggestive that a rate cut could still occur this year, but he refused to discuss timing. He did indicate that the labor market has slowed, and that labor statistics will be an important factor in the timing. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 52.82 at 39,291.97 and the S&P 500 up 4.13 at 5,576.98, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.30%. Early Wednesday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 5 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.65%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.81% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.83%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.61% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.68%.
