DTN Early Word Grains 07/15 05:48 Grain Markets Lower on Weather, Momentum Selling December corn is down 5 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 16 1/2 cents, September KC wheat is down 14 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 15 1/2 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 7 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 5 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 16 1/2 cents, September KC wheat is down 14 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 15 1/2 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 7 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed, with European markets lower while the U.S. market is trading higher in the aftermath of the assassination attempt on former President Trump. This very unexpected development has traders focusing on the outcome of the election and what the impact of the election results will be on the economy. We will have several new pieces of data to look at this week. Monday is the Empire State manufacturing Survey. Tuesday brings retail sales, import prices, business inventories, and home builder confidence. Wednesday is housing starts, building permits, industrial production, and capacity utilization. Finally, Thursday brings initial jobless claims, the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing survey, and U.S. leading economic indicators. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 247.15 at 40,000.90 and the S&P 500 up 30.81 at 5,615.35. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.19%. Early Monday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 217 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.26%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.3% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.42%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 2.45% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.09%.
