DTN Early Word Grains 07/25 05:51 Grain Markets Mixed Again With Corn Pushing Higher December corn is up 1/2 cent per bushel, November soybeans are down 2 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 4 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 3 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 1 3/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 1/2 cent per bushel, November soybeans are down 2 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 4 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 3 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 1 3/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are lower Thursday morning in the aftermath of a very poor day in the U.S. stock market which was down sharply on earnings misses in the tech sector and worries about a slowing economy. Profit taking and rotation out of the highest performing stocks also has been noted for the past two weeks. Wednesday, the S&P manufacturing PMI was well below trade expectations, as were new home sales. We are seeing more economic data that suggests an economic slowdown, and this should put some pressure on the Fed to lower rates. Traders are fearful that they might be too slow in doing so. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 504.22 at 39,853.87 and the S&P 500 down 128.61 at 5,427.13. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.286%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are down 23 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.9%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 1.37% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 1.8%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 3.28% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.52%.
