DTN Early Word Grains 08/13 05:51 Grain Markets Lower After a USDA Report That was Bearish Soybeans, Mixed for Corn December corn is down 2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 15 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 3 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 5 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 1 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 15 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 3 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 5 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 1 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Tuesday morning, after Monday's session in which U.S. markets were quiet with the S&P 500 closing nearly unchanged. Traders are looking ahead to the PPI reports that will be released Tuesday morning, and the CPI reports that will be released on Wednesday. Those reports are expected to show a slowing economy, providing more evidence for the Fed to begin interest rate cuts in September. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 140.53 at 39,357.01 and the S&P 500 up 0.23 at 5,344.39. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.91%. Early Tuesday, the September Dow Jones Futures are down 87 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.23%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.03% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.29%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 1.14% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.34%.
