The major focus of the market this week will be the conference in Jackson Hole where Fed Chairman Powell will be speaking on Friday. Traders will be looking for clues that would confirm the Fed's intention to lower rates in September, and more importantly, whether that cut would be 1/4 point or a 1/2 point. Other economic data will include U.S. leading indicators that will be released on Monday, initial jobless claims and S&P flash PMI's on Thursday, and new home sales on Friday. In agriculture, in addition to the regular weekly reports, we will get a cold storage report and cattle on feed report this upcoming Friday.
