DTN Early Word Grains 08/22 05:51 Grain Markets Mixed: Wheat Higher on Canadian Rail Strike, Beans Lower on High Yield Potential December corn is steady, November soybeans are down 6 cents, December KC wheat is up 1 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is up 2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 1/2 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is steady, November soybeans are down 6 cents, December KC wheat is up 1 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is up 2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 1/2 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed but mostly higher as Wednesday's minutes from the Federal reserve indicated that the members strongly support a rate cut in September and many wanted a cut in July. Revisions to employment released Wednesday suggested that the labor market is even slower than recent reports which also supports a rate cut. Traders expect confirmation in Friday's speech from chairman Powell. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 55.52 at 40,890.49 and the S&P 500 up 23.73 at 5,620.85. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.78%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 44 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.25%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.32% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.3%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.68% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.27%.
