DTN Early Word Grains 08/23 05:50 Grain Markets Mixed With Soybeans Trying to Bounce but Wheat Lower as Canadian Government Stops Strike December corn is steady, November soybeans are up 2 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is down 3 1/2 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 3 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is steady, November soybeans are up 2 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is down 3 1/2 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 3 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are higher Friday morning as the world anticipates the speech by Fed Chairman Powell in Jackson Hole. While it is unlikely that the chairman will confirm a rate cut and will certainly not confirm the size of the rate cut, traders will try and parse the speech to determine the relative hawkishness of his comments compared to previous statements. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 177.71 at 40,712.78 and the S&P 500 down 50.21 at 5,570.64. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.86%. Early Friday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 121 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.33%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.69% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.62%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.4% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.2%.
