DTN Early Word Grains 08/29 05:43 Grain Markets Mostly Higher on Strong Exports, Good Processing Margins, and Drier Forecast December corn is up 3/4 cent per bushel, November soybeans are up 9 1/2 cents, December KC wheat is down 1 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 4 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is up 2 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 3/4 cent per bushel, November soybeans are up 9 1/2 cents, December KC wheat is down 1 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 4 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is up 2 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed but mostly higher after Wednesday's profit taking session ahead of the announcement of Nvidia's quarterly earnings. Those earnings were generally strong but the profit taking continued in the overnight hours with Nvidia down as much as 7% at one point in the overnight session. We have since bounced back and the tech heavy Nasdaq is currently higher by 0.2%. We will get some new economic data Thursday morning with jobless claims, retail and wholesale inventories, and a revision to 2nd quarter GDP all on the docket. Traders are looking ahead to Friday's release of PCE data, the favorite inflation indicator for the Federal Reserve. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 159.08 at 41,091.42 and the S&P 500 down 33.62 at 5,592.18. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.841%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 215 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.42%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.57% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.67%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.02% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.5%.
