DTN Early Word Grains 09/05 05:52 Grain Markets Lower Thursday Morning, Consolidating Recent Rally December corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 6 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is down 3 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 6 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 1/4 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 6 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is down 3 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 6 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 1/4 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed, with stocks not seeing significant lower follow-through from Tuesday's very poor start to the month of September. The Dow closed a little higher Wednesday while tech stocks felt a little more pressure. The 10-year note traded down to 3.77% which is the lowest it has traded since July of 2023. Wednesday's job openings report was poor, with openings falling sharply, another potential reason for the Fed to lower rates at their next meeting. Traders are waiting for the jobs report on Friday for the next major piece of data to evaluate. Thursday's reports include the weekly jobless claims, U.S. productivity, U.S. labor costs, and the ISM services index. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 38.04 at 40,974.97 and the S&P 500 down 8.86 at 5,520.07. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.768%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 57 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.24%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.11% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.21%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 4.24% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.67%.
