DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/23 14:15 Grain, Soy Markets Soar Higher on a Bright Green Monday From the opening bell, all the grain and soy markets opened stronger and added to those gains as Monday went on. Between technical signals, with all three major ag markets again rising above key moving averages, and rising tensions in both the Middle East and Black Sea, funds were lured into liquidating more of their short positions in all but soymeal, where they hold a modest net long. November soybeans led the way up after breaking above the recent high. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 11 3/4 cents per bushel at $4.13 1/2 and May corn was up 11 1/2 cents at $4.42 1/2. November soybeans closed up 27 1/4 cents at $10.39 1/4 and March soybeans were up 26 cents at $10.69 3/4. December KC wheat closed up 13 1/4 cents at $5.77 1/4, December Chicago wheat was up 14 cents at $5.82 1/2 and December Minneapolis wheat was up 10 1/4 cents at $6.19.
