DTN Early Word Grains 09/24 05:44 Grain Markets Turn Higher on Technical Buying, Chinese Stimulus Measures December corn is up 1/4 cent per bushel, November soybeans are up 5 1/4 cents, December KC wheat is up 1/2 cent, December Chicago wheat is up 1 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 1 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 1/4 cent per bushel, November soybeans are up 5 1/4 cents, December KC wheat is up 1/2 cent, December Chicago wheat is up 1 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 1 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed but mostly higher Tuesday morning. Comments from at least two Federal Reserve members suggesting that more rate cuts of at least 50 basis points are seen as supportive. This is weighing on the U.S. dollar once again and that could be supportive to commodities. Monday's flash PMI's provided mixed signals, but the manufacturing PMI was weaker than anticipated at 47, vs expectations of 48.4. Tuesday morning, we will get a read on consumer confidence and the Case-Shiller home price index. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 61.29 at 42,124.65 and the S&P 500 up 16.02 at 5,718.57. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.739%. Early Tuesday, the December Dow Jones Futures are up 70 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.34%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.72% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 1.58%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.84% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 4.15%.
