Last week's CCC donation reportedly was completed above the $6 mark, but that included sales made well-out into deferred months. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed one of the better weeks of movement for U.S. wheat, coming in at 26.1 mbus to put total shipments at 282 mbus, which is 26% ahead of a year ago. Hard red spring wheat was the top mover with 6.8 mbus, followed by white wheat with 6.1 mbus, red winter at 5.6 mbus and soft red winter with 4.2 mbus. West coast exporters moved more than 14 mbus of wheat with South Korea, The Philippines and Vietnam being the primary takers on a long list of destinations. Crop Progress...Winter wheat planting is progressing at an average pace across the Pacific Northwest, with Idaho reporting 11% planted, Washington at 43% in and Oregon at 12% complete. Emergence for the region is also on track with averages, aided by recent cool weather and precipitation. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2024 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
