DTN Early Word Grains 09/30 05:48 Grain Markets Mixed With Corn, Soybeans Lower Ahead of Monday Morning's USDA Grain Stocks Report December corn is down 1/2 cent per bushel, November soybeans are down 10 cents, December KC wheat is up 2 cents, December Chicago wheat is up 2 1/2 cent and December Minneapolis wheat is up 2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 1/2 cent per bushel, November soybeans are down 10 cents, December KC wheat is up 2 cents, December Chicago wheat is up 2 1/2 cent and December Minneapolis wheat is up 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Monday morning, with U.S. and European markets a little lower but with China up sharply once again, showing follow-through from last week's huge government stimulus program. This week will bring a number of important new reports for traders to use to gage the economy, and for the Federal Reserve to use in determining the size of the next rate cut. On Tuesday, we get the ISM manufacturing index, construction spending, auto sales, and the monthly Job Openings (JOLT) report. On Wednesday, we will see the ADP employment report. Thursday brings initial jobless claims, factory orders, and the ISM services report. Finally on Friday, we get the Labor department's non-farm payroll report with new wage and unemployment data. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 137.89 at 42,313.0 and the S&P 500 down 7.20 at 5,738.17. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.749%. Early Monday, the December Dow Jones Futures are down 48 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.54%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.6% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 1.5%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 4.8% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 8.06%.
