CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Thursday morning after a relatively poor session in the U.S. on Wednesday. European markets are trying to bounce a little, but U.S. markets are quiet with the Dow lower and the S&P slightly higher. Higher market-based interest rates are hurting sentiment as the 10-year note has moved to 4.24%, the highest level since July. Not surprisingly, the U.S. dollar is also trading at its highest level since late July due to the higher rates. Wednesday's existing home sales data was slightly lower than last month and neutral to market expectations. Thursday we will get the weekly initial jobless claims, new home sales, and the flash PMI's from S&P for both manufacturing and services.
