DTN Closing Grain Comments 10/25 13:55 Friday Selloff Ends Mostly Positive Week on Sour Note Grain futures came into Friday having posted a solid showing for the week even despite late-session weakness in the soybean complex Thursday. However, Friday served as a reminder of the overall bearish fundamental picture for U.S. grains as traders were obviously wary of carrying short-term longs into a harvest season weekend. Wheat futures led the way lower Friday on a technical break. Overall, corn and soybeans will still finish with week-over-week gains, but one cannot help but feel the mood dampen considerably following price action Friday. Rhett Montgomery DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed down 6 1/4 cents and March corn was down 5 1/2 cents. November soybeans closed down 8 1/2 cents and March soybeans were down 7 cents. December KC wheat closed down 15 cents, December Chicago wheat was down 12 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 12 3/4 cents.
