DTN Early Word Grains 10/25 05:48 Grain Markets Lower After Correction in Palm Oil, Thursday's Break in Energy Prices December corn is down 2 3/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 7 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is down 6 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 6 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 2 3/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 7 3/4 cents, December KC wheat is down 6 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 6 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed, with U.S. markets trying to bounce after what has been a rough week. We are currently poised to break a six-week winning streak despite the higher futures Friday morning. Higher interest rates have been part of the reason for the pull-back in stocks as Thursday's data was mostly better than expected, with jobless claims falling sharply and new home sales well above expectations. The services PMI matched trade expectations while the manufacturing PMI was slightly better. Friday we will get durable goods and consumer sentiment. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 140.59 at 42,374.36 and the S&P 500 up 12.44 at 5,809.86. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.2%. Early Friday, the December Dow Jones Futures are up 100 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.08%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.09% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.09%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.6% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.59%.
