DTN Closing Grain Comments 11/22 14:09 Grains Wrap Up Week With Another Quiet, Mixed Session To say it was a week of mixed results for ag markets would be an understatement as wheat and corn post positive movement for the week while soybeans struggled for the most part although managed to find a footing to close the week. I'd imagine the trade is in for much of the same low trending volume during next week's sessions with the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday. The market remains devoid of any significant new fundamental developments, as South American weather will continue to be the feature of trader sentiment as in the market's eyes historically large grain and oilseed demand for the U.S. is directly tied to South American production performance. In outside markets, the U.S. Dollar Index continued its surge higher Friday, hitting levels not seen in two years when the index was on its way down from its 2022 peak, adding to traders' uneasiness regarding U.S. export potential through the bulk of 2025. Rhett Montgomery DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 1 cents and May corn was down 3/4 cents. January soybeans closed up 5 3/4 cents and March soybeans were up 7 cents. March KC wheat closed down 1 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 4 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 1 1/4 cents.
